Trinity is a loving, vibrant community of Christ. From our Christ-centered, licensed
school (pre-school, kindergarten to 1st grade) to our age level ministries for
children, youth, young adults and adults - our mission is to reach out with the Good News
of Jesus Christ to our community and world.

| We, the body of Christ, as
Trinity United Methodist Church, live to serve God and to minister to the many and varying
needs of the individual, the community, and the world. We are committed to sharing
God's love through worship, education, nurturing of spiritual growth,
fellowship, evangelism, responsible stewardship, service, and responsiveness to social
concerns. |

OUR HISTORY
In 1963 a young pastor named Jerry Furr left his home in Mississippi and moved his
family to the western fringe of what was commonly known as "Sin City" to start a
new church. Under his leadership, Trinity United Methodist Church in Las Vegas was founded
upon Jesus' living example of love, service, teaching, ministering to those in need, and
celebrating God's gifts among us. For over 40 years we have built our house upon that
mighty foundation. On Oct. 25, 2006 we celebrated our 43rd anniversary.

| May, 1965: Groundbreaking for first construction |
| Nov, 1965: First services at Charleston & Jones location |
| Mar, 1966: TUMC Child Care Center (1st in LV) established |
| Mar, 1976: Six-rank, 402 pipe Wicks pipe organ dedicated |
| Jun, 1977: Groundbreaking for "Blue Room" classroom addition |
| Aug, 1987: Groundbreaking for classroom, office, and sanctuary space, leading today's
TUMC campus |
| Fall, 1999: Sanctuary remodeling completed |
| Sep, 2000: First grade added to Trinity Christian School |
| Spring, 2002: Second grade added to Trinity Christian School |

At Trinity United Methodist Church we understand that
God's grace and love infuse all of life. In this unique city, we extend ourselves to
declare the good news of Jesus.
If you are visiting Las Vegas, worship with us. If you
have just moved to this area, visit us and discover new friends.
Our church is made up of people from all over who have
moved to Las Vegas. In this way God has woven a beautiful quilt of peoples. Together we
reach out in service to others in need. We care and support each other in this strange,
desert land. We laugh and we weep in joy and sorrow with one another.
Most of all we thank God for
the wondrous gift of life.

THE PATH TO MEMBERSHIP
| "The United Methodist Church is a part
of the holy, universal church, as we confess in the Apostles' Creed. In the church, Jesus
Christ is proclaimed and professed as Lord and Savior. All people may attend its worship
services, participate in its programs, receive the sacraments and become members in any
local church in the connection." (Book of Discipline 2004, paragraph 214) We invite you to begin the steps toward membership in Trinity
United Methodist Church.
- Worship with us.
- Attend programs that are important for you.
- Ask to begin the process of membership.
- Attend the luncheon.
- Affirm in a public service that Jesus Christ is your Lord
and Savior.
- Commit yourself in a public worship service to faithfulness
in The United Methodist Church.
- Commit yourself to active involvement in Trinity United
Methodist Church by your prayers, presence, gifts and service.
People may join by transfer of membership from another
church, by profession of faith, or by baptism.
