Mark Lansberry |
Mark Lansberry is an ordained
minister in The United Methodist Church. He graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree
from the Claremont School of Theology in Claremont, California where he received the
Wilshire Preaching Award in 1993. In his preaching and writing (newsletter columns,
newspaper articles) he has always striven to use everyday language that the average person
on the street can understand. He draws on our shared human and cultural experience through
current events, books and movies to illustrate the gospel in ways that allow people to
relate to it. |
| Ms. Linda Petty |
Linda Petty, Coordinator of

children. She has been on staff of Trinity UMC since January 1982. Linda began as a part
time Assistant in Christian Education, became certified as an Associate in Christian
Education with The United Methodist Church in 1986, and was hired full time shortly
thereafter. Several years ago, Linda was promoted to her current position.
Linda continues her pursuit to bring children, youth, and adults into a
relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible teachings, Christ-centered activities, and
fellowship with other Christians, allowing the light of Christ to shine through them in
the world. |
| Ms. Sherri Rauch-French |
Sherri has worked in
management for 25 years, and the last five in the Trinity office. She brings to her
ministries of office and property management a deep dedication to Christ's grace, mercy
and love. As the central person in Trinity's office, Sherri provides both organization and
grace. Through her leadership, the office is a place of prayer in carrying out the
business of ministry. |
| Mr. Gary McCallister |
Gary began his
youth ministry career in 1983 first as a parent chaperone and soon after as a volunteer
youth leader. Having a teenager and a preteen in his family, he and his wife felt it
important for their children to be involved in a Christian youth group. They enjoyed the
youth and adult leadership team at TUMC so much that they decided to become involved. His
involvement as an adult youth leader and age level coordinator led him to seek
professional training in ministering with teens. He spent a portion of five summers at
Perkins School of Theology in Dallas Texas to earn dual Certification in Christian
Education and Youth Ministry through the United Methodist Church. His volunteer role
spanned 16 years before becoming a staff member of TUMC. After 24 years of faithfully and
effectively leading the youth ministry at Trinity UMC, in Feb. 2007 Gary decided to step
down. He will continue part time as Assistant to the Senior Pastor while working with the
Society of St. Stephen and Membership Care. |
| Ms. Leslie Chaney |
In 1980 in
California Leslie and parents in a local Presbyterian church created a parent co-op
preschool. She helped manage and taught in this school for 3 years. While working
there she obtained her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mt. San Jacinto
College in southern California. When Leslie moved to Las Vegas in 1993 she worked as a
lead teacher for Kinder Care for several years, also at Children's Behavioral Services and
Catholic Charities. She also attended UNLV during and received Her Bachelors Degree in
Social Work in Children's Services. When her mother became ill she moved to Florida to
care for her. She remained there for 3 years and worked as the Program Director of
Children's services for the YMCA. She managed 4 preschools, 14 after school sites, and
summer resident and track break camps for Kindergarten through 6th Grade
students. Next she worked with the YMCA in California as the Senior Program Director for
Children and Youth services in Southern California. When returning to Las Vegas she was
hired by the State of Nevada as Program Coordinator for the Child Care Apprenticeship
Program. In this position she taught early childhood classes to preschool teachers and at
the College of Southern Nevada. Currently she is an active board member of Southern Nevada
Association for the Education of Young Children and also serves on the State of Nevada
Early Childhood Pre-K Standards Committee. |
| Ms. Barbara Momeyer |
Barbara moved
to Las Vegas in 1997 after living in Seattle for 27 years. She moved to Seattle after
obtaining a Master's Degree in Christian Education from St. Paul School of Theology in
Kansas City, Mo. in order to take a position as a Director of Christian Education at a
local United Methodist Church. She worked there for four years then moved to the
University of Washington. After 18 years of full time work at the University, retirement
and part time work elsewhere sounded very good. From then until she moved to Las Vegas,
she work for three different United Methodist Churches as secretary/office manager -
Greenlake United Methodist Church, Faith United Methodist Church, and, believe it or not,
Trinity United Methodist Church. After trying some other jobs in Las Vegas, she knew
she had to get back to church work and at the same time the part-time secretary position
at TUMC opened up. It was a God thing. |
