In 2009 Alpha is going into the 9th year of
presenting its 10 week course at Trinity UMC. The program assists in becoming more
familiar with the Christian Faith, and more particularly developing a better understanding
of Jesus Christ.
The Alpha course presently is being shared twice a year. The first event is a
Celebration Dinner, which begins at 6:00PM with a free of charge meal, short introduction
video about the course, and testimonies by former participates about how the program has
enriched their lives. The evening will end about 8:30 PM.
Alpha then continues for the next 10 weeks. Dinner begins at 6:00 PM,
followed by a video, and breaking into discussion groups about the topic from the
evening's film.
Who is Alpha for? Alpha is for everyone! It is especially geared to people
interested in investigating Christianity, newcomers wanting to learn more about the
Christian Faith, and Christians who want to brush up on the basics. |
