Members of the Vietnamese Language Ministry

 

The Vietnamese Language Ministry

A Vietnamese Language Ministry (VLM) leader has been identified (Linh Phan).  He has completed a course in Lay Speaking and currently is enrolled in Theology school.  A core group has been identified (8 adults and 3 children have met every Sunday during Oct., Nov., and Dec. 2010.  The VLM has been introduced to friends and family through the 2010 Christmas Service.

The meeting time currently is 6 p.m. Sunday night.

Goals for 2011

*  Continue to develop Linh Phan to be an effective leader.
*  Train core members to be leaders and to be involved in the VLM ministry and church.
*  Advertise VLM to the Vietnamese community.
*  Invite a Vietnamese pastor/evangelist to help build VLM on a short term basis.

Special Events

A group of ~20 Vietnamese-American youth leaders from various Vietnamese UMC churches will visit VLM on Sun. Feb. 20 to encourage and pray for the new ministry.
